ABOUT
AM2PM is transforming construction with sustainable 3D printing and advanced digital technology. Tackling climate change, cost pressures, and labour shortages, our project combines AI, automation, and digital twin systems to create eco-friendly, efficient building processes. By reducing material use up to 50% and cutting carbon emissions, AM2PM supports a greener, more resilient future in line with EU goals.
-
Environmental and Material Efficiency
By combining topology optimization, recycled materials, and AI-driven structural design, AM2PM aims to cut material use and CO₂ emissions by 50%. The integration of local, sustainable raw materials and by-products further reduces production impact.
Predictive Modeling and Buildability
Using Learning-by-Printing (LbP), AM2PM simulates and refines manufacturing processes. Over 1,000 experiments train machine learning models to accurately predict structural performance, geometry, and mechanical properties—ensuring designs are both buildable and sustainable.
Collaborative Construction Ecosystem
The project introduces a multi-agent human-robot collaboration system for efficient on-site operations. A digital twin-enabled cyber-physical system automates quality control and workflow, delivering high precision in complex builds while minimizing errors.

AM2PM aims to revolutionize multistory construction by merging advanced digital design, AI-driven process control, and human-robot collaboration. Through 3D concrete printing, recycled materials, and predictive modeling, the project targets a 50% reduction in material use and significant cuts in carbon emissions. Its goal is to build smarter, safer, and more sustainable structures—supporting the EU Green Deal, the New European Bauhaus, and the EU Digital Strategy.
-
AM2PM aims to develop sustainable 3D printing materials from recycled and local sources, optimize structural design using AI, and enable safe, efficient human-robot collaboration on construction sites. By integrating real-time digital planning and predictive tools, the project seeks to reduce material use, cut carbon emissions, and accelerate the shift toward eco-friendly, high-rise 3D-printed buildings.
